Deliverables checklist

Customize the final agreement and check each item before work begins.

Before you send the proposal

Check your school’s rules for sponsor outreach, contracts, logos, tabling, product distribution, speakers, and payments.

Research the brand and explain why your members, event, or program fit. A useful proposal focuses on the partnership, not only on the organization’s need for money.

Keep the proposal short and specific

State the audience, opportunity, request, activation, timeline, deliverables, and measurement plan in plain language.

Audience

Describe the members or attendees and why they connect to the brand.

Request

List the funding, products, prizes, speakers, services, or other support needed.

Deliverables

Explain what the organization will do and when it will be completed.

Proof

Define the photos, links, counts, scans, feedback, or recap that will confirm completion.

Follow up once

Send the proposal to the most relevant contact you can identify. If there is no response, send one polite follow-up after several business days. Keep notes so future student leaders know who was contacted and what happened.
